I think what amazes the local Filipino community most that despite all the pain she put her husband through, she still rather blame the people that tried to help than look at the real reasons why he did.What has happened before will happen again!

>>> BEAUTIFUL SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS <<<
Thirlmere Railway Museum, just one of the many reasons why the Southern Highlands is top of our choices for moving too in the near future.
Having spent so much time there recently, breathing the fresh air, meeting the wonderful people, experiencing a whole new peaceful way of life.
It is not hard to see why more and more people wish to dump modern society and head for a, to utilize a modern day wank term, Tree Change.
It is just like days of old, when people weren't so frantic to get anywhere, when people want to know you, where you can be totally rid of the canines who constantly hound you because of the misery they have made for their own life.
Come take me tree change, I am yours.............

Sadly last night someone broke into my email account and sent off SPAM to numerous people in my address book, including remnants of people from a time I would rather forget.
This rather lady like email was most impressive

>>> SOUTHERN HIGHLAND FAMILY DAY <<<
Hello all and sundry and welcome to the first of a two part look at our trip to Bowral and Berrima on Monday.
What started out as a sunny day slowly declined into an overcast but pleasant one, later including a few showers. Still nothing was going to dampen a great day in that wonderful part of the country.
Lunch was had it a lovely Berrima park while my more recent fetish for antique shops was also attended to while driving around, one actually netting me 288 back issues of a very interesting international railway magazine.
Coming home we followed the line to Picton where we popped in to see Colonel and Anna's new place of residence, before the first of many time trials were carried out between there and our home.
Below are photos from the Berrima portion of the trip.
The main street of Berrima, a lovely little Southern Highlands town with its livelihood based on tourism, weekends being the busiest time.
Signs for sale!
My interest in closed branchlines lead me to a quick search of the old coal line from Berrima to Medway Colliery. Was surprised to find the colliery still seems to be in action, trucks now replacing the railway.

>>> HAPPY 70TH BIRTHDAY MICK <<<
Today is the birthday of one of my dearest mates, Mick Stalgis.
Rosie, Brock and myself went to view a memorial made by the staff of the Randwick Council depot in Maroubra. It is a beautiful stainless steel park bench with plaque, in front of a small garden.
A fitting tribute to an awesome person who is terribly missed.

**** PLEASE HELP ****
I am helping to raise donations for the poor people affected by the huge floods in Manila.
Can you help with a donation, of any size?
Donations will be sent through the Pasalubong Food Store at 1073 Botany Road Mascot 2020 NSW.
They can either be made direct to Pasalubong, or if easier, I can take it in for you as a group thing.

If the later option, either ring me or email me at
philippinerailwayhistorical @ yahoo. com. ph (remove spaces)
Please help those back in the Philippines when they need it most.

>>> HAPPY BIRTHDAY TROY AND DAMIEN <<<
It has been a long time since I had so much fun, but yesterdays was certainly one of those you wished would never end. Maraming salamat Marilou and family for inviting us
My karaoke voice, with some encouragment medicine in the form of Tanduay, was brought out of retirement for the first time in ages, thus causing much ear type agony for other attendees :-)
Thank you so much to everyone for giving us such a fantastic day, you guys are all awesome.
Thanks also to my dear departed friend Michael, he was alway so kind to me, and still looks after me by leading me to meet all these wonderful people. I only wish I knew them all when you were still here with us.
Below be a number of moments during the terrific event.
Ning on the right, Maricel on left, no idea who is the one in the middle.
