>>> Daddy long legs <<<

This one really brought a tear to my eye.....very moving.

[]

A father watched his young daughter playing in the garden.
He smiled as he reflected on how sweet and pure his little girl was.
Tears formed in his eyes as he thought about her seeing the wonders of nature through such innocent eyes. Suddenly she just stopped and stared at the ground.

He went over to her to see what work of God had captured her attention.

[]

He noticed she was looking at two spiders mating.

"Daddy, what are those two spiders doing?" she asked.

"They're mating," her father replied.

"What do you call the spider on top?" she asked.

"That's a Daddy Longlegs," her father answered.

"So, the other one is a Mommy Longlegs?" the little girl asked.

As his heart soared with the joy of such a cute and innocent question he replied,

"No dear...both of them are Daddy Longlegs."

The little girl, looking a little puzzled, thought for a moment, then lifted
her foot and stomped them flat.

"Well", she said, "We're not having any of that shit in our garden !"

Senate to commend 4 honor guards of Cory

A resolution commending the four honor guards of the late former President Corazon Aquino during the funeral procession will be filed at the Senate.
Senator Pilar Juliana Cayetano said PO1 Danilo Maalab, Pfc. Antonio Cadiente, Airman 2nd Class Gener Laguindan, and Navy Petty Officer 3 Edgardo Rodriguez were role models of what a public servant should be.
"They did their job well and I will file a resolution commending them because it is symbolic of what people in public service should do. Whatever your job is, do it well," Cayetano said Thursday during the weekly news forum at the Senate.
The four honor guards stood on the hearse carrying Mrs. Aquino's remains for eight hours from Manila Cathedral in Intramuros to Manila Memorial Park in ParaƱaque amid strong winds and rains.
"For the soldiers who did their simple job but did it well through rain and storm, without food, without rest, I think that was an effort on their part that they did it without need of attention. They did not speak, they did not call attention pero kapansin-pansin ang ginawa nila," Cayetano said.

Should Kris run in 2010?

Should Kris run in 2010?
If elections were to be held today and Kris Aquino would run for President, I’m very sure — 100 percent sure! — that she would win by a landslide.
You see, if she could move the whole world to tears and win everybody’s heart with the emotion-laden farewell/thank-you speech she delivered yesterday morning at the requiem Mass for her mother, former Pres. Cory Aquino, at the Manila Cathedral, I’m sure that she could, without really trying, sway the people into giving her a resounding vote of confidence.
And besides, didn’t Tita Cory once tell her that Kris reminded her of her late husband, calling Kris “the female Ninoy Aquino?” No wonder Kris said that she’s Tita Cory’s favorite daughter even as she admitted having given her mom the most “headaches” which were outweighed by “the most joys” that Kris gave her.
Everybody (those who were at the Manila Cathedral and those at home watching the proceedings on TV) was titillated by the possibility of Kris’ running in the elections — the earliest being 2010 — when, toward the end of her speech, Kris, addressing her brother, Sen. Noynoy Aquino, said that it was the two of them on whose shoulders has fallen the task of continuing the legacy of their parents, later promising Noynoy to give him all the support he ever needed if he decided to run again.

>>> CORY AQUINO <<<

Having spent the last two day watching the wake and funeral of Cory Aquino I have to admit being very moved by what this amazing lady has done for my second country.

She was a very loved person, even refered to as the Philippines only queen. This was also reflected in the massive crowds of people lining the streets for hours on end, in wind and rain, just to say thier final goodbye.

While I am not going to go and repeat her history, which everyone must now be well versed in, I am wanting to dedicate the next week of this blog site to the various comments made around the internet about her.

RIP President Cory:
---------------------------------------
I have a story to tell, since the wake of President Cory until her funeral I never miss watching the TFC, my 5 year old and 3 year old watches with me. They were asking who Cory was and why filipinos loves her so much, and so I told them the story. My daughter who is in kindergarten took her what she call special notebook where she drew people she loves. She started drawing a woman, she color the dress yellow and she drew a big heart on her chest and she write on the top CORY. She showed it to me and she said Cory is a special person that's why I put her on my special notebook. She also drew on a separate sheet of paper something for Cory that says, Thank You Cory and We love you. I wish I could email those to you, I have already scanned it but I don't know where to sent it. Again, we thank God for giving the Filipinos of this generation the best gift we can ever ask for. The only real president of Filipino people. We love you President Cory. Olivia Trinidad Carmel, California

The late Pres. Cory Aquino had brought courage and dignity to each and every Filipino nationwide similar to her husband, the late Sen. Ninoy Aquino. The democracy and freedom they gave us will be enjoyed by our children and will be passed on the next generations ahead. It is our pride to have such a wonderful and loving "Nanay, Lola, Tita, Ate" as what everybody called her. We lost her here on earth but for sure she will always guide us somewhere, somehow thru channels of her family with Noynoy and Kris standing before us "For the Filipinos". We love you and you'll always be in our heart. Goodbye!

>>> Today we say goodbye to a very important lady. <<<

President Corazon Aquino

1933-2009

While most of us know of her historical importance, it is indeed a shame that you never learn of the good person within until the person passes away. She was truly one of the most caring people you could imagine, even to those who worked for her.
She also deeply loved my second country and everyone within it.

A journalist in Manila probably summed it up best last night we he called her "A DAMN GOOD PERSON".

Funeral coverage on TFC from 11pm Sydney time!

Salamat Cory

*A young unmarried girl discovers that she is pregnant. Scared,? She
confides this ' news' to her mother.

Shouting, cursing, crying, the mother says, "Who was the pig that did This
to you?

I want to know!" The girl picks up the phone and makes a call.

Half an hour later a Ferrari stops in front of their house; a mature And
distinguished man with gray hair and impeccably dressed in a very expensive
suit steps out of it and enters the house.

He sits in the living room with the father, the mother and the Girl, and
tells them: "Good morning, your daughter has informed me of the Problem.
However, I can't marry her because of my personal family Situation, but I'll
take responsibility. If a girl is born I will bequeath her 2 retail stores,
a townhouse, a beach villa and a $1,000,000 bank account. If a boy is born,
my legacy will be a couple of factories and a $2,000,000 bank account.

If it is twins, a factory and $1,000,000 each. However,

If there is a miscarriage, what do you suggest I do?"

At this point, the father, who had remained silent, places a hand

Firmly on the man's shoulder and tells him, "You can try again !"
