~~ ANOTHER RANDOM SELECTION OF GUFF ~~

Started going back through the old photos scanning those from long ago.
Those from happier days when gossiping was restricted to train news and hate limited to magazines you did not prefer.
Back when friends were friends and enemies easily identified.

SIGH

Not much of the above photo exists today.
The dog, Tando, has gone to heaven, as has railfan Mick Stiles
who is shaking his hand.
My slim belly has long gone, along with the grass (drought), the Blue Festiva (crash at Bulli) and Excelsior Electrics (recievership).
The van still is around, now owned by MrX's brother and used for his electrical business. So after all these years I still regularly travel in it.

One of a few fund raising events held at the Rockdale signalbox before Railcorp decided that the asbestos fibres in the air were to dangerous.
Hmmmm a tad late really, we had already been in there for years and may already expecting asbestosis due to neglegence on their part.
MrX cooks the BBQ while Roy Howarth looks at the camera.
Various other foamers in attendance.

Same event with MrX still on the BBQ and James Grey looking
at his delicious offering.
James is more commonly known in dribbler circles as the owner of 42101, one of those locomotives built by crappy manufacturer Clyde. :-)

Back when Newcastle still has a steelworks, the BHP plant is seen here late one night from the other side of the Hunter River.
It is now just a huge open dirt area :-(
