>>> SYDNEY DUST STORM - 22-09-2009 <<<

Sydney played host to high winds and a severe dust storm today.
Have yet to hear of someone who can remember such an event happening here in the past, while many likened it to the huge one in Melbourne in the 90s.

Personally I have not seen this much shit floated in the air since the Eastlakes scum last got together for a chat and most of Sydney hopes it wont happen again to soon.
Streets, cars, houses and even pets are all now coated in a fine orange/brown dust and, with rain not predicted for some time, it shall stay that way for a while.

The first three shots is of a China Southern Airlines jet during an aborted landing.
After circling and coming back the passengers were treated to a very hair raising and rough landing.

There is an Air Canada jet at Sydney Terminal - Trust me.

Competitors weathering the storm - Virgin Blue awaits its Qantas
counterpart to take off.

Dusty Crowthers coach shunting at their airport terminal.

Singapore Airlines Boeing 747 freighter touches down in a dusty Sydney.

There is a terminal in the background.

Emirates A380 prepares to depart into the strong winds and filth.

It has certainly been an interesting day and no doubt we will be finding dust in all our collective orifaces for many days to come.

What a dusty mess! I can't imagine how I can coup up with that dust storm with my contact lenses on. I felt lucky it did not happen when I was there but sad for the trouble it caused the residents.
