Welcome friends, followers and any random perverts who have come across the site.
The last decade of involvement in the local Filipino community has been a long road and nobody could ever say it has been dull.
No matter how much you study the community, the one thing you will learn is that you will never truly understand them. You must just enjoy the good ones who truly care.
Approaching 2013 is where I now find myself. Still serving the wonderful Filipino community through our shop, thankful that those who sort to bring it dopwn have now gone off to their own endeavours - as far removed from their supposed truth as could be possible.
The end of 2012 saw the Aussie Aswang finally venture down the road of raising money for the poorer people back in the Philippines.
Yes, it is a noble cause, helping thos in desperate need - yet alas I have already encountered vermin in the community to seek nothing more than to benefit themselves.
Yes, there is a surprise around every corner.

MANILA DOWNUNDER - MEMORIES FROM AN EVIL FILIPINO COMMUNITY.
Pure Evil In An Archive - The Eastlakes Aswang! Come see where it all began, the mental torture, the gossip, the backstabbing, the lies, the hate, the spite AND THEN IT STARTED TO GET NASTY. This original site of the G-Spot Barkada is left as a warning to anyone who may be thinking that being to involved in the Sydney Filipino is a good thing. Its all here to be relived in the MANILA DOWNUNDER ARCHIVE.
Not just an archive - but a beacon of warning to anyone stupid enough to get involved.
What The Aussie Aswang Is Up To Post Eastlakes scum.
Well the official members have changed a lot over the years, with even some of the above showing their true bastard colours. But still we continue on - after all galahs eventually move on from where they have nested.
Late 2010 saw the passing of our dear friend and G-Spot Barkada member, William (Bill) Sullivan. Bill is remembered daily and a greatly missed part of our group. His memory lasts with us always.
My Other Philippine Doings!
While at times I am left to wonder why, given the less thannoble practises of many in the community here, I still have an immense interest in the Philippines and the people back there. Most of my time is spent researching history (mostly transportation but also myths and superstition and more general stuff), raising money for historical societies there, writing a related magazine and running the 'Philippine Railways SIG' group of websites and forums. Should you have any interest in looking, head on over to the WEBSITES!
But Wait - Theres More!
Besides a huge interest in things Philippines, there is also an endless list of other interests that keeps an Aswang very busy.
